 A little about me:  My name is Brittney and I am a mother of three: two wonderful boys and a great little girl.  I teach middle school and spend my free time trying to help out other families with information like this site.  My hope is that it will make their lives a little bit more rewarding.

If you ever sit down and think about how much huggies diapers and wipes cost, you will be amazed.  I figured this out with the idea that no coupons were used.  My estimation is that a child will average 7 diapers a day throughout three years.  Based on this information, the child would therefore use a total of 7,644 diapers before they were potty trained.  I took this information and went to walmart.com and found six packages of diapers sized 1-6 and added up how many diapers there were and divided that into the cost.  It came out to be 30 cents for each huggies diaper.  Taking that 30 cents and multiplying it by the 7,644 diapers gave me a grand total of $2,293.  This does not include the wipes that some people use.  If you add on wipes, then you are looking at an additional $320 per child.  So my three little ones cost me almost $8,000 with the wipes just so they could do their business.  ARGGGG!!! 

 

 But all is not lost; we have found deals and coupons that make this much less expensive.  We usually cut the cost of diapering with huggies diapers in half if not more.  What could you do with an extra $1,000?  A vacation, a car, maybe another kid???  Enjoy the site and be sure to check out the other ways ideas I came up with in order to stretch our family dollars.
